 Ob jective of    Safety performance monitoring and measurement is to  describe the safety performance monitoring and measurement component of the SMS. This includes the organization’s SMS safety performance indicators (SPIs).  Four criteria f or compliance:  Formal process to develop and maintain a set of safety performance indicators and their associated performance targets.
